Brad is a new addition to the PhysioTherapy Professional team coming from Edwardsville, IL. Brad attended Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville where he obtained his Bachelors in Kinesiology: Exercise and Wellness in 2006, and his Masters in Kinesiology: Sports Management in 2007. Brad then attended Southwestern Illinois College where he obtained his degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Brad plans to attend Findlay University in Ohio, to obtain his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2011.
Brad is a long time athlete competing in soccer and track and field through high school in Gillespie, IL earning All Team, All Conference, All Sectional, and All State honors. While attending SIUE, Brad competed in track and field for the Cougars earning all conference honors and helped the Cougars achieve their first Indoor Conference title in 2004. Due to his career as an athlete, Brad is familiar with athletic injuries and the mentality of the injured athlete. “Athletes are fun to work with because of their motivation, which is a vital part of physical therapy. However, getting those athletes to take it slowly and not overdo it is the challenging part.”, Brad says.
Brad’s background in personal training allows for a more exercise oriented approach to physical therapy. This, in combination with traditional manual therapy techniques, helps achieve PhysioTherapy Professionals’ goal of an integrated approach to physical therapy.
